DARPA Partners with QC82

College Park, MD – November 1st, 2023 – QC82 announced that it was awarded the first phase contract of the Underexplored Systems for Utility Scale Quantum Computing (US2QC) program launched by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). The goal of the US2QC program is to evaluate designs for quantum computers that promise true utility and determine if a utility scale quantum computer can be built much faster than conventionally predicted. The focus of Phase 0 is to devise and present a conceptual design for a utility scale quantum computer using QC82’s proprietary approach, which will then be thoroughly evaluated by the DARPA Test and Evaluation team for feasibility. QC82 is one of select few startups to be awarded the Phase 0 contract.
